Lower Manhattan & The Bowery, Perro’s Y Vainas
Among the smelly yet scenic streets of lower Manhattan sits Battery Park, a gem, but not because of the nature. Styled like ballpark concessions, Perro’s Y Vainas welcomes you with ample seating, fun music, and a peaceful hideaway.
Order their delicious Strawberry Shortcake Waffle and be sent into a trance of fluffy sweetness, or try their Tequeños with dip (flimsily contained) and watch your mouth water; deliciously cheesy, and crispy, I ordered more to take back to the room.
The two employees were extremely friendly, offering warm smiles and greetings. Sit down, relax, and snack on some of the most delicious NY-park food we found in lower Manhattan, definitely a must-stop while perusing the city streets!

Felt like television, no shock value.

Skipping the airport since we already know how that goes, we checked in at the CitizenM Hotel, in The Bowery neighborhood of lower Manhattan. To say there was “no shock value” wouldn’t be the least, for what you're paying, the rooms are small, amenities, lacking (no microwave, ice, vending...).
If the stunning lobby/basement served for more than reserved seating for locals; you’d be able to be breath taken. Shortly lived, since the always-vacant-lobby-cafe serves you no purpose (you can always get drunk at the bar). Honorable mention to the stellar housekeeping, and need to be noted, weird shampoo/body-wash situation. No tourist-friendly night scenes on the block.
Walking distance to China Town and Little Italy, Lombardi’s Pizza, provided us with subpar thick-crust pizza, alongside their subpar attitudes; the cheese and pepperoni New York style pizzas were delicious, we took two to go. Worth noting they claim to be the first pizza.
Lower Manhattan itself, worth it. Walk around, take the subway, go see, everything. Mind yourself and those around you, and submerse yourself.

PUFF, Madison Heights - You walk in, you’re greeted with a warm, almost-friendly atmosphere that instantly puts you at ease. However, if you’re on a tight schedule, you might want to plan ahead. The laid-back vibe, while pleasant, sometimes translates into longer wait times, which can be frustrating if you're in a hurry (online ordering doesn't save much time). The prices rescue them. Go.
Flower Bowl, Inkster - A bit of a rough-around-the-edges vibe that you’ll notice as soon as you pull up, you’ll find that the staff is surprisingly friendly and approachable. They work to make you feel comfortable, offering a level of service that’s both warm and sincere. The wait times vary, they are always quick with online orders. Go.
Liberty, Madison Heights - Super-elite feeling, polished storefront, that being said: the customer service and rewards application are heavily lacking. I was called a slur by the security guard on my way in, he was abruptly fired. Check another place out instead...

The United Auto Workers group based in Michigan, endorses Kamala Harris for president, for the year 2024. According to their website, they will also be filing federal labor charges against Donald Trump and Elon Musk.
Sexy, but fresh. A+ for the marketing with this one, the fragrance smells how the bottle looks: clean, sexy, with a touch of warmth. Wears warmer than fresh, not so in your face.
